Drobot may be extremely smart, but he never shies away from a fight. This makes it harder to fight enemies and evil minions. Clockwork Dragon relies more on where the bladegears deploy from, bounce, and land, all chance. This might not do much damage for one shot, but don't get decieved! A few seconds of that machine gun style firing, exploding on contact, and holding the button can knock out enemies VERY quickly. Also, you can get the accompaniment of lasers from your wings. Master Blaster lets you shoot devasting, blue lasers, that explode on contact, so you can focus on one tough enemy, while hurting the tough guys AROUND IT. This basically makes you rely on the luck of where your bladegears bounce, land, and if it hits your oppenent your not.
Even though one bladegear does do 28 damage, and if you're lucky, three at time makes 84, you mentioned that the only way you can deal this damage is if it HITS RIGHT. There is also a small chance for a bladegear to hit enemies since you can barely control where they go. Also, when facing swarms of chompies, or even enemies like haunted knights, with clockwork dragon, you're not able to deal the most effective, accurate damage on them. Master blaster allows you to do lightning fast, accurate, and devasting damage wherever you aim. The problem with this is that there's basically NO CHANCE that ALL three bladegears will hit the enemy. That eguals: 84 damage! Master blaster aint got nothing on my clockworker! Even faster than master blaster! Let's do the math. With Clockwork Dragon you can kill things super fast.
